UPDATE ON SENDBETTY2SCHOOL April 11 2016
Initial, during and closure of campaign November 2015
Initial March 14th 2015
#Sendbetty2school is a campaign being run by Zambians in the USA and in Zambia to raise greater awareness on the need for the girl-child of Zambia to receive education. This campaign is aimed at shedding light on the difficulties young Zambian girls face to receive education and what we as individuals can do and how the government can work with communities to help this issue.
In this process, our team will be sending 150 girls in Zambia to school. We depend entirely on donations through out the campaign to achieve this goal. The 150 girls were preselected by two NGOs based in the USA that work in Zambia – namely One Dream Foundation and Hope Anchor . These girls face big obstacles among them poverty, disabilities, and often times have been affected or infected by HIV/AIDS. They mostly ask for uniforms, pencils, pens, books, shoes and socks. Each child needs about $100 to fully enroll in school. Please note that if you’re in Zambia and wish to make a donation, you can do so by contacting our chief member of staff on +260 976 670 038. or email:- email@example.com. Donations in form of uniforms, stationery (pens, pencils, books, crayons), shoes, socks etc. are welcome.
